1. Fairtrade Fortnight 2009 - Photos

The big banana arrives by train from Stockton.

The big banana was accompanied by the Mayor of Stockton & received by Cllr Carl Richardson and pupils from St Joseph's School.

 The Ceilidh was a big success complete with Fairtrade bar and buffet.

2. Fairtrade Information Stall, Hartlepool Partnership Community Strategy Launch at Christ Church, October 2008.                                                                                  There were about 100 invited guests who were treated to a Fairtrade reception with Fairtrade wine, snacks, cookies and brownies.



3. Ceilidh and Supper on September 2008   
This event was a great success with many attending and a good time was had by all. We are looking forward to next year's event.

5. Hartlepool College of Further Education, Hartlepool Fairtrade Town Steering Group and Hartlepool Borough Council Tourism Department who invited local restaurateurs and hoteliers.

Members of the public (mainly fair trade supporters) and college staff also attended. Juan Luis Aviles a Fairtrade farmer, was present for the meal and afterwards gave a presentation on Cashew Nuts in El Salvador which was well received.

All present learned much about cashew nuts and how Fairtrade had helped in El Salvador.

Reporters and photographers from the Hartlepool Mail & Northern Echo were present, and half page features appeared in both papers.
