Fairtrade Schools

Many schools in Hartlepool are actively promoting Fairtrade through teaching and community action.

There are a number of schools currently working towards Fairtrade School Status including St Joseph’s RC Primary School, Catcote School, English Martyrs School and Sixth Form College, St Hild’s C of E Secondary School and Jesmond Road Primary School . Fens Primary School obtained Fairtrade School status in 2009.

The Hartlepool Fairtrade School’s Group meets once a term to share ideas about promoting Fairtrade in Hartlepool schools, and to organise events together. To find out more e-mail: schools@fairtradehartlepool.org.uk or see the calendar for the date of the next meeting.

The HFTSG would like to hear from any school that is involved in any way with Fairtrade, please contact schools@fairtradehartlepool.org.uk, to find out how HFTSG could help your school.

Use and sell Fairtrade products as much as possible.
